Through the Website you may gain access to the commercial products and services of CIPD Enterprises Limited which is wholly owned by CIPD, and of Personnel Publications Limited, which produces and distributes People Management on behalf of CIPD, its publishers. In addition to these terms and conditions the provision of such products and services will be governed by such additional terms and conditions as you may be made aware of at the time of ordering.

2. Registration
2.1
In order to register with the Website you are required to submit your first and last names, preferred user name and password. You must also indicate whether you are a guest, CIPD member, a member through an organisational membership or a People Management subscriber. If you have any queries about your details on the CIPD database, please email database@cipd.co.uk.
2.2
When you have completed your registration, you will be asked to submit additional information including your address, email address and areas of interest (the "Additional Information"). You are not obliged to submit this additional information in order to register with or use the Website, but if you choose to do so, then, subject to paragraph 3 below, CIPD may use it in order to provide you with a more personalised service.
2.3
We may suspend and/or terminate (either in whole or in part) your use of any user name, password or this Website immediately for any reason.

Appendix: A Community rules
The purpose of the CIPD Community is to allow you to exchange thoughts, ideas, advice and resources with other users (including both CIPD Members and Visitors). Any content added or submitted by you to the Community remains your intellectual property. By adding or submitting content to the Community you grant CIPD an unrestricted worldwide licence to publish the material on this website.
Non-Members may reply to discussion threads but are unable to post a new thread or view member's Profile information. When using the Community please ensure that:
- when you post a message, you are concise, civil, tasteful and relevant
- your posts and responses are concerned with requesting and offering helpful advice, commenting on current practice issues, and sharing information and experience on relevant professional subjects
- you are careful when using ambiguous language or humour that may inadvertently offend
- you are patient and supportive of other users
- you do not make unwarranted criticism, abusive or libellous comments about other people or organisations, commercial or non-commercial
- you do not advertise your services, or the services of any company or organisation with which you are associated
- you do not include any personal contact information (e.g. telephone, email, company) within the body of your posting. CIPD Members may publish this information in your Profile which you can choose to have linked from your postings.
- you do not distribute text or graphics that are copyright protected unless you have clear permission to do so
- if you quote a book, journal, web site or other reference please clearly state your source
- when adding attachments to a post you state in your message which software application is needed to view the file. Note that the maximum size allowed by our systems is 2mb
