The categories for the 2008 PM Awards are as follows:
Employee engagement
Sponsored by
Engaged employees feel positively about their job and their employment experience and as a result are more committed to the organisation, motivated in their work and more likely to recommend their employer to others as a good place to work. Entries in this category should focus on initiatives that encourage employees to ‘go the extra mile’ for their employer. We’re looking for entries to demonstrate a sound business case highlighting what the organisation has done and why as well as being able to assess the subsequent impact this has had on HR and on the business.
Learning and development
Sponsored by
The winner should be able to demonstrate a strong link between learning and development and business growth. They have excelled in creating an organisational culture in which training and learning has and will continue to flourish. Entrants should be clear about the business objectives that prompted the organisation to focus on creating a learning culture and the opportunities of developing individuals to impact on the success of a common goal.
Management of change
Winning examples in this category would include organisations that have undertaken a successful change programme resulting in clear improvements to the business. It will be important for you to demonstrate exactly how you managed a particular change initiative, what you did to ensure its success and how you assessed the benefits of the change to the business.
Talent Management
Sponsored by
We’re looking for entries from organisations that are reaping the benefits of a focus on talent management. Who are the people who have had an extra ability to make a difference to your business? And how has your organisation benefited from developing, deploying and engaging them into your business?
