Has a redundancy calculator to find out the amount employers are obliged to pay to those they make redundant, taking into account length of service and age of employee and the hours worked.

E-reward 
Has free and some fee-based information on pay and pay strategy. Also a list of free factsheets on different aspects of pay, flexible working and work-life balance.

Employers and Work Life Balance 
Run by the Work Foundation, this site is organised into sections for large, small and medium-sized companies and individuals. Has case-studies and list the business benefits of work-life balance. Gives useful pointers for putting ideas into practice. 

Changeboard 
Has jobs on its Changeboard site for the UK and some other countries. By looking at the salary for these, you can get an idea of current rates of pay.  Also checklists and ‘how to…’ articles on various topics.

Halfords
The bicycle retailer has set up a Cycle to Work scheme targeting employee benefits, fitness in the workplace and green issues.

Hays
The website of this recruitment firm has a great deal of salary information.

HM Treasury
Will Hutton submitted his report on Fair Pay in the Public Sector to the Treasury.  It is broken down into an executive briefing and the full report.  You can also hear Hutton talking about his report.

An expats site with a useful salary calculator for the United States of America.

Hudson Global
This recruitment consultancy website produces salary surveys.  They cover various sectors, giving job title and salaries regionally.  Some are newer than others.  Ireland 2011 has just been released.

Low Pay Commission
Students looking at the history or background of low pay may find this site useful.

Mercer
This consultancy produces surveysMay 2009 is the latest.  It has just produced a report on global worforce pay strategies for the future. The report is called What the future holds: global reward strategies 2013 They also produce some Executive remuneration perspectives which are short articles giving tips on various reward-related topics.

Michael Page
This recruitment company has some salarly information available for various sectors.

National Statistics
Gives an index of average earnings, for about two months previously. So In June, you should see April's figures.

Thomsons online benefits
This independent website has webcasts and case studies on employee benefits and thought leadership in the area of reward.  There is a filter for choosing topics.  Also has news articles on reward and pensions

Universities and Colleges Employers Association
Gives agreed terms and conditions and recent pay awards.

Watson Wyatt 
This consultancy website publishes priced reports giving information on car policies and benefits and terms for Singapore and Salary and benefits and terms of employment for Malaysia.  The website also has plenty of useful information accessible by hovering the mouse over the tabs at the top of the home page to see the drop-down menus.
