The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, chose AVADO to help them deliver globally accessible online qualifications based on their 20+ years’ experience of building digital learning and online communities, with exclusive partners including Google and the International Olympic Committee. The partnership combines the CIPD’s subject matter expertise and thought leadership with AVADO’s online learning excellence, delivering a transformative learning experience.

Launched in May 2015, the CIPD L&D Intermediate Certificate and Diploma programme was the first CIPD qualification to be offered 100% online and was developed by the organisation’s L&D experts and industry figures, including Laura Overton, Clive Shepherd and Stella Collins.

The award-winning L&D qualification addresses a widening digital skills gaps in the profession, highlighted in the CIPD’s 2015 ‘L&D: Evolving Roles, Enhancing Skills’ research report, produced with Towards Maturity. The programme’s successes, highlighted in the winning submission, include a rise of 1300% in numbers taking L&D qualifications over one year, and a shift in learner confidence in digital skills capability rising from 35% to 92% during studying.

Following the success of the L&D programme, the partnership now offers online HR qualifications, mirroring the same exemplary learning methodology.
