Katerina is the Head of Skills and Policy Campaigns at the CIPD. She leads the Policy Campaigns team, which works to turn policy into action, to positively influence employer behaviour. She has developed and leads on the CIPD’s Learning to Work programme that aims to tackle youth unemployment by increasing employer engagement with young people. She is also responsible for the CIPD’s employer volunteering programmes and the CIPD’s approach to skills policy issues.
Before joining the CIPD Katerina has worked in various research and policy roles for government bodies and think tanks in London and Brussels, looking at skills and employment issues in the UK and internationally. These include the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), the Work Foundation, the European Policy Centre and the European Commission. Katerina is the author of several research and policy reports on youth employment and other skills and workplace issues; she sits on the Partnership board of the Education and Employers Taskforce charity and is fluent in several European languages.
