The Cambridge CIPD Group is delighted to announce further details of its annual HR Day 2012, in partnership with Birketts LLP.

The programme for the day begins with an introduction and an audience with an Employment Tribunal Judge - Kevin Palmer. Kevin Palmer will discuss the Employment Tribunal system and the proposed reforms and what practical effect these will have, before chairing a question and answer session opening the floor to delegates to ask Kevin any questions they might have relating to Employment Tribunal hearings and the system in general.

Following this the Birketts team will present ‘Pig of a Day’ – how many challenges can befall poor Percival Pig in the course of one day? This will be a practical look at topical employment problems that often land on a busy manager’s desk, focusing on change management and termination issues.

The day will include a buffet lunch followed by an interactive employment law update and an afternoon workshop session providing delegates with the opportunity to attend of one the following workshops:

• Performance Management
• Absence Management
• HR Investigations

As well as ensuring you are briefed on the key topics and challenges for the new year ahead the Cambridge CIPD HR Day is a valuable networking opportunity and a chance to continue your CPD.

This event promises to be extremely popular and bookings are being accepted on a first come first served basis via the CIPD website. Attendance for CIPD members is £30 per head and Non-CIPD Members £50 per head.
