As the newly appointed CIPD Branch Chairman, my philosophy for the Branch committee, is that by working as a team, in a democratic way, this will lead to better communication and excellent provision for our members. Therefore, by communicating openly and supporting each other we will further strengthen the Branch and its highly successful track record.
I am looking forward to meeting as many Branch members as possible, listening to your views, responding to your needs and working on your behalf during my term of office.
During these times of austerity, downsizing and reform, learning and development opportunities often get cut. It is my belief that our Branch networking events offer excellent opportunities for every member at every level to maintain up to date practice. If you attend the local CIPD meetings and programmed events, we can help you improve your personal and professional skills as well as giving you the chance to engage with other HR professionals for support and networking.
