Event details:

Almost all organisations have their own way of doing appraisals but are they more of an administrative cost than a managerial benefit?

What are the positive outcomes your organisation desires from appraising performance? Are these outcomes shared and agreed by all?

Appraising every individual’s performance is vital to organisational health and success. However, it relies on more than having just an appraisal system. A good system supports good practice, although many fail to drive that good practice. To help us avoid these mistakes, this session will look critically at how some organisations get it wrong and how the best ones get it right.

This session will be a lively interaction between the speakers and the audience to explore our systems and our thinking. It will enliven the process of appraisal to gain greater positive outcomes.
Ian Woodward and Jonathan Geard-Beney are both consultants with a great deal of experience in working with organisations. They will bring several case studies to share and learn from.

This event forms part of a series under the title Positive Outcomes for Challenging Times supporting CPD because participants will:

  • Learn how best to manage people performance at an organisational level.
  • Consider factors in the design of systems that support optimising performance.
  • Be inspired to rise to the challenge of helping their organisations to achieve even more positive outcomes.
