The Midlands Annual Conference builds on its reputation for providing thought-provoking, engaging and practical insights into getting the best from people.
It is aimed at HR Directors, Managing Directors, Business owners and line managers. It also is beneficial for HR specialists and for those considering joining the CIPD – the UK’s leading professional body for those involved in the managing and developing of people at work. As organisers, our commitment is to provide a conference which “enhances learning through participation in a range of developmental activities addressing real-life issues and to use that (learning) to improve individual contribution to the business”.
Using feedback from delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and speakers at the 2007 conference, combined with our own Midlands- based research to identify (and address) the greatest challenges facing business people in general (and HR specialists in particular), we have developed a conference with three key themes:
• Take advantage of social change
• Be a great employer
• Balance employee rights with business needs
Delegates will be able to pre-select specific sessions (ranging from interactive workshops to presentations to appeal to different learning styles) and will have the opportunity to network with speakers, sponsors and exhibitors and other delegates from different sectors and organisations. For those interested in a career in HR, there will also be an opportunity to meet members of CIPD and learn more about the advantages of membership including details of other events in the Midlands.
