How to Book on Events and Our Booking Policy
Unless otherwise stated in the event information, all bookings should be made through our branch website.
Unless otherwise stated all Branch events are free for CIPD members. Non CIPD members are welcome to attend. A charge of £15 will be made to non members as a contribution towards the cost of refreshments and venue hire. In some cases there may be restrictions on the numbers attending and bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis, although priority will be given to CIPD members.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
We genuinely appreciate that our members are professional people with many commitments and that sometimes it will not be possible to attend the events. However, should you be unable to attend an event onto which you have booked, our cancellation policy requires that you notify the Branch Administrator as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the event to enable us to confirm our catering numbers, advise the speakers correctly of the audience size and, where necessary, reallocate places to members who are on a waiting list.
Please note that, where cancellations have not been made in line with the above policy, a £10 charge will be made for non attendance As you will appreciate, there is a considerable cost to the Branch in paying for room hire and refreshments. These costs ultimately are met from your membership fee so please help us to ensure that you gain the best value from your fees by observing this policy.
