Speaker(s): Joan O'Connor is an experienced facilitator, executive and team coach and consultant. She is well experienced in working within global environments, different national and organizational cultures and the challenges these can bring. Working internationally with executive teams has given Joan a strong insight into the dynamics that influence the culture and politics of organizations. As a specific area of interest, and as part of her Masters’ degree Joan researched the implications of cross-cultural differences on employee engagement. She has worked extensively with executive and senior teams in restructuring businesses following merger or strategic change initiatives

Joan is a contributor to the best selling book 101 coaching techniques and strategies edited by Gladeana McMahon and Anne Archer. She is an Adviser and Coach to The Writer, a business writing consultancy

Joan spent 21 years working in the corporate environment before moving into Executive coaching and consultancy in 2005. She has worked in several different industry sectors having worked for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, insurance and technology consultancy organisations and commodities futures brokers followed by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the investment banking division of ABN Amro. Her final roles held in ABN Amro were Global Head of Talent Management followed by Global Head of Leadership Development.

Joan has a MSc in People and Organisation Development.
