Non-Verbal Intelligence and Communication
Your single most important step towards excellence is your ability to communicate with and influence others.
Great communication is made up of two parts: what you say and how you say it.
Why do some people seem to attract attention, to have charisma, presence or gravitas simply when they walk into a room? What if you too, could tap into your persuasive communicator and strengthen your business and interpersonal relationships? We all have moments of excellence when we influence others… what if you could consistently repeat your own patterns of success?
We will share with you some specific techniques which will transform how you interact with those around you at work.
We can empower you to lead, to influence, to teach or to sell more effectively and more persuasively. Within groups or in one-to-one interfaces, your audience will absorb, accept and act on your messages more readily. You’ll display all the charisma and presence that hitherto, has been dormant beneath the surface. The results are immediate, dramatic, tangible and measurable!
It is a well documented, much proven fact that more than 80% of face-to-face communication emanates from the unspoken vocabulary of eye contact, gesticulations, body posture and voice patterns. We will give you the skills to harness, control and apply the full potential of the ‘unuttered’ 80%.
By learning the science and the art of advanced communication skills you will be able to:
- Increase your own leadership and charisma.
- Present yourself in a highly credible and intelligent manner.
- Develop significant behavioural flexibility and range when it comes to being credible and/or approachable with others.
- Reinforce consistent and fair parameters while preserving relationships with others.
- Use non-verbal techniques and group dynamics to benefit everybody you interact with — especially yourself.
- Understand and accept yourself and others.
- Separate your and others’ intentions from actions
- Interpret your and others’ behaviours more accurately
- Provide new ideas on resolving conflict including, knowing which conflicts not to try to resolve
- Improve your leadership skills and manage difficult personalities
- Use specific strategies for managing disruptive team members
- Accelerate the formation of a team.
We will be offering a further two sessions in early 2011 to teach various elements of these invaluable and practical skills. Each session is standalone, however together they also offer a very robust package in the development of your non-verbal communication skills through the introduction of new techniques and the reinforcement/application of the broad range of skills in different professional contexts.
