Stewart Gilliland, Recently retired CEO Muller Dairy UK and Ireland now with an NED portfolio.

Stewart Gilliland began his career in Sales with Pedigree Petfoods in 1979 before joining Whitbread Take Home as an Account Manager in 1984.
During a 21 year period with Whitbread/InBev he took on increasingly larger roles in Sales and Marketing joining the Board in 1994 and taking over as CEO of the UK business in 2001.
Following a successful 2 year period he then moved within the InBev group to take up the role of Zone President Canada until the end of 2004.
In 2005 he returned to Europe as the Zone President.
Following the merger of InBev with AmBev he left the group and took up the role of CEO Muller in June 2006.
Stewart stood down from the role in mid 2010 and left the Muller group in December.

Event details:

Stewart will share with us his experiences of change as a CEO and why change has to start with the leaders.

He will explain how leaders engaged their people so everyone understood the journey the organisation was on and, by doing so achieved excellent results.

Stewart believes that change needs to offer potential benefits to all stakeholders and everyone should benefit if the business is successful and, that you can never communicate too much.
