Duncan Brown is Principal Consultant in the Reward & Engagement practice of Aon Hewitt.

He has participated on Government taskforces dealing with pensions & human capital reporting and a member of the expert advisory group to the Hutton Review of Fair Pay.

Duncan sits on and advises a number of board remuneration committees and Human Resources magazine placed him in its listing of the top 10 most influential thinkers in UK HR in 2009

Event details: While the Governor of the Bank of England warned of living standards plunging at the fastest rate since the 1920s fuelled by declining incomes and rising inflation. Against this, big bonus and incentive payouts continue for some and employers are once again renewing their focus on engagement.

Fairness is back on the agenda, with the Hutton report published, though the debate extends beyond the public sector.
What does fairness mean and how do you get it?
Aligned to this, variable pay, whilst hotly debated, is here to stay.

The question is how can you make variable pay work for your organisation?

Added to this, the focus on engagement highlights total reward and its contribution to engagement.

Interactive discussion and networking is encouraged at this Reward SIG for Reward & HR professionals.
