After over four years in which employers have adapted to the statutory dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures, they are due to be abolished and replaced by a new ACAS Code of
Practice on Discipline and Grievance, which will be supplemented by detailed guidance.
The change is expected to take effect in April 2009 and employers should make sure they are prepared for it.
This breakfast seminar will look at the new law, and consider ways in which employers may need to adapt their approach to handling dismissals and workplace disputes.
The session will be led by Blair Adams, a Partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP.
The number of delegates will be limited to 30.
