This session aims to provide a practical approach to HR professionals to assist in dealing with employees with disabilities.
Eugene Wojciechowski and Jennifer Argent of Shoosmiths will provide factual scenarios and guidance on the duty to consider reasonable adjustments, making those adjustments and dealing with disability related sickness absence in the workplace. We
will also provide a general case update on disability discrimination.
The session will be interactive and delegates will be encouraged to participate in discussions and share their knowledge. To summarise, all those working in HR who deal with disability related absences will benefit from attending through the consideration of:
- Putting into place robust policies and procedures that will serve to protect their organisation;
- How to deal with disabilities to avoid discrimination claims;
- Taking disciplinary action against a disabled employee;
