Welcome to the Coventry & Warwickshire branch

What we offer...

The branch offers a programme of events aimed at promoting members' education, development and networking. These include updates on employment law, skills development in areas such as self-marketing and coaching, as well as workshops for those wishing to revisit their CPD or upgrade their membership. Support for those studying CIPD qualifications is maintained through our close links with local education centres and through our annual Student Awards.

Free newsletter every couple of months...

Our free newsletter, Core News, provides details of future activities and recent events and is circulated electronically to subscribers two or three times a year. Past copies can be accessed via the branch website, whilst members can book places on any of the events publicised on-line or by post.

Join your Local Committee...

These services could not be organised and maintained without the support of local members who have volunteered to serve on the branch committee. Offers of support are always welcome - as well as being fun, participation on the committee offers the chance for individuals to develop their confidence and skill. That way we all benefit!

If you would like to learn more about the work of the committee or have any suggestions for future events please contact Hannah Parker, branch Chair. Meanwhile, enjoy the site; we hope that you will find plenty that will interest you.'

Special Interest Group

Members of SIG are generally self-employed or lone human resources or training personnel who run or work in a small business. It has been identified by the CIPD that this unique group within the membership requires skills for improving marketing and networking as well as for helping them to win business.

The branch provides SIG members with networking opportunities to share ideas and to meet others in similar work circumstances and development events specifically aimed at the learning and development needs identified for SIG members.

Join us at one of our get togethers.aSIGnations take place in the bar area of the Stratford Manor Hotel on the Warwick Road, on the first Monday of every month (or second if it clashes with a bank holiday) 1100-1200. There is also a meeting on the third Monday of each month at the Centenary Business Centre, Hammond Way in Nuneaton, from 11.00 until about 12.00.  No need to commit in advance, just go a long to meet other SIG members in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Bar lunches available from 1200-1400.

For more information please email  Robert Chambers via the contact us page.
