Dai Wiliams

Dai is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. He set up Eos in 1986 as an international graduate recruitment agency and developed career counseling and HR services since the 90’s e.g. senior management selection, change support, staff assessment and development, in-placement, redundancy and health. Previous experience includes 15 years with Shell in the UK and Canada within HR roles.

Denise Purssey

Denise has spent ten years with psychometric test publishers and business psychology consultancies – focusing on advising and helping develop selection and development measures. Denise has worked with the following companies; ASE, OPP and Getfeedback.

Event details:

Our first speakers presentation will focus on the impacts of selection on employee and candidate motivation, management and union involvement, and future workforce development.

Specifically he will focus on the following five areas of selection:

  • Requirements analysis
  • Sourcing issues (internal vs. external)
  • Selection for growth and development
  • De-selection (e.g. in-placement, outplacement, survivor syndrome)
  • Use of external resources (e.g. agencies, colleges, consultants)

Our second speaker will focus on the following areas

  • psychometrics
  • behavioural event interviews
  • assessment centres
  • online processes.
