Welcome to the Central Southern Branch


Welcome to our website! I was delighted to have been elected Chair and Branch Council Representative at the 2008 Annual General Meeting for a second term. I am very grateful that I have such an excellent team of volunteers in the Branch Committee, without whom the many innovative and leading edge events we run would be impossible.

This website provides a vital component of the Branches overall communication strategy; providing for both our members and others who are interested in the CIPD.

Through this website you are able to access details of forthcoming events; to read about our committee members and make contact with them via e-mail. Email addresses of committee members are on our contact page. We are keen to engage with all our members and welcome suggestions and comments on our programme, so please feel free to get in touch.

I would like to emphasise, that it is the commitment and team spirit of the whole Branch Committee (past and present), that has enabled Central Southern to remain so successful and would like to thank all of my fellow volunteer committee members, for their dedication in making our branch what it is. I hope to continue to develop our Branch so that it remains innovative; and continues to serve you, our members.

It’s time to start thinking about applying for the 2009 Best People Practice Awards!  We are looking for successful initiatives that had a positive effect on both employees and business results during 2008.

Group Committees
Your Branch services could not be organised and maintained without the support of local members who have volunteered to serve on the Group and Branch committees. Offers of support are always welcome - as well as being fun, participation on the committee offers the chance for individuals to develop their confidence and skills. That way we all benefit! We are currently relaunching our Woking Group and need to recruit Committee members. To find out more, please click here.
