MENTORING PROJECT

Growing yourself while helping to grow others

 Following the successful pilot in 2006 we are proposing to run a second training programme of mentors in 2007. The training will consist of three workshops over a period of three months. Between workshops trainee mentors will be asked to mentor each other. The last of the three workshops will include a workshop for potential mentees who will then be matched to a mentor. (Please note mentors will be expected to attend all three workshops.)

 From 2007 potential mentors and mentees will be charged a small fee of £5 per workshop to cover the cost of the programme. (This means that the cost of the programme for mentors will be £15 and the cost of the programme for mentees will be £5. A light buffet and refreshments will be provided prior to each workshop.)

 The proposed dates for the Mentoring Training Programme are:

o Wednesday, 26th September 2007 5.00pm for 5.30pm – 9.00pm

o Wednesday, 31st October 2007 5.00pm for 5.30pm – 9.00pm

o Wednesday, 28th November 2007 5.00pm for 5.30pm – 9.00pm (This workshop will also include a workshop for potential mentees)

o The venue will be confirmed along with the joining instruction for the programme

Places will be limited to 30 per programme and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
