Your local branch

In business we are all looking for ways to cut costs yet add value, CIPD are no different in this. With this in mind we have launched a new communications medium for our Gloucestershire members. The e newsletter will replace the hard copy version you have received previously. It will direct you to our website for updates on local and national special interest articles and events. We aim to keep you ahead on the latest thinking and give you a chance to share ideas with like minded people.

We are pleased to confirm that some of the cost savings will be invested to provide new learning events and we welcome your feedback on what you would like us to deliver in 2010.

Happy Autumn from the Branch team.

Branch Chair, Gloucestershire Branch

About your branch

*
The Gloucestershire branch has over 350 members including Students starting out, HR/Training and Development professionals at all levels and Consultants with a wide spectrum of specialisms. We also work closely with two special interest groups, the Gloucestershire Coaching network (GCN) and the HR Forum for senior HR practitioners. Email us to find out more about joining. Or check out our website for more information.

The needs for CIPD to deliver are as varied and diverse as our membership. We find ourselves in a climate that is “challenging” with HR people often the focus of managing any change, often feeling isolated as they restructure and downsize the business.

The Gloucestershire branch are all volunteers from as diverse a group as the membership, we are passionate about supporting you and making a difference, sharing our experience and growing your knowledge wherever we can.

What’s on near you? We have an exciting programme of events planned for the remainder of 2009. The latest events information is always detailed on our website. Abundance like our gardens at the moment is the theme with something for everyone!

We are always looking for ways to help you as individuals develop and stand out from the crowd with the latest Employment Law updates, new International and Strategic planning events planned for 2010.

Did you know we run regular local upgrading panels to help you upgrade to Member or Fellow CIPD? Contact Heidi Sear our Branch Membership Adviser for more details.
