IRELAND Branch (Western)

Subject area:  Employee relations
Venue: GMIT Castlebar Campus, Westport Road, Castlebar, Mayo

Dr. Kieran Mulvey

Chief Executive, Labour Relations Commission

Dr Kieran Mulvey, Chief Executive of the Labour Relations Commission, has been hailed as the country's best negotiator and an industrial relations trouble shooter. Kieran has been Chief Executive of the Labour Relations Commission since 1991 and chaired the negotiations which led to the original ‘Croke Park’ agreement and ‘Croke Park II’.

This talk will address the on-going reforms of the employment rights and industrial relations system. The new integrated two-tier structure will replace the five existing employment rights bodies. This is the most important change in the Industrial Relations landscape since the foundation of the state.
