Although relatively small by CIPD standards we are a vibrant group with lots of activities and events to keep our members learning and developing. Operating as we do in an Island environment we are also ideally placed to influence people management locally, particularly important in view of the new employment legislation and the changing employment scene in Jersey.
We aim
- To ensure a positive focus on all HR issues within the island by influencing government locally and to become a key point of contact on all employment and training issues
- To increase support from CIPD nationally and to engage it’s involvement in key HR issues affecting the island
- To ensure consultation with government, States departments and CIPD members on all HR issues affecting our members and their associated organisations
- To actively encourage and promote the development of CIPD members
- To lead in the development and promotion of HR best practice within the island
- To increase local membership of CIPD
- To provide networking opportunities for members
