Starting by specialising in the Law to do with People at Work, he progressed through a range of increasingly senior positions. In Bob’s ultimate position, before the formation of the Wheeler Partnership, he was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources in Courtaulds Textiles, then a rapidly changing business with more than 30,000 employees world-wide.
He is also the co-founder of Formula 4 Leadership Ltd. and the joint creator of the internationally acclaimed Leadership Judgement Indicator (LJI) which has been used around the world and adopted by major organisations as a central part of their assessment of leadership potential, talent management and development of leaders. Bob has presented on at a number of major national and international conferences, including twice at the CIPD HRD Conference.
Event details:
The purpose of the session is to explore the training issues involved in managing the disciplinary and attendance processes.
It will be an enjoyable and extremely interactive session, built around an action maze activity that explores personal approaches to managing a case of unsatisfactory attendance. The session will be of interest to members who wish to think about their own responsibilities and those of line managers – and also to members who are seeking creative and engaging ways to train managers for this key aspect of their role.
