Special Interest Group - SIGNet

Vibrant CIPD Consultant Community Growing!


CIPD Manchester Branch has a vibrant Special Interest Group for Independent Consultants operating as Small Businesses. This local CIPD group is called SIGNet and is a service to our self employed members. It’s been running successfully for a few years with membership growing steadily to about 150 people. We will be pleased to welcome any of you out there who would like to join in.


The SIGNet Group Purpose is to provide a network and forum for those members of the CIPD Manchester Branch who work as small, independent HR consulting firms.


SIGNet’s aims include the provision of opportunities for:-

* Networking, mutual support and social interaction

* Personal and professional development

* Developing links with similar groups within and outside CIPD


To help deliver the group's aims we make sure that our meetings have a 'buzz'. Our ‘networking’ sessions don’t have a fixed topic pre-arranged – we discuss what’s ‘hot’ for people on the night. At our more topic-led events we get members to lead sessions and also invite recommended guest presenters.


We meet approximately 6-weekly in Manchester on Tuesdays 6.15 for 6.30 pm.


The venue for the sessions is Innospace, 2nd Floor Minshull House, Chorlton Street, Manchester M1 3FY
