Event details:

Getting a grip on square pegs in round holes!

This event will explore the innate abilities that we have as individuals as well as how we can develop ourselves to our maximum potential. The workshop will give you insight, using the latest and most innovative recent research, into how the brain works. Denise will explore some examples of left / right brain dominant people who have experienced ‘one-sided’ predominant brain use. She’ll use such examples to explore how our education and career choice can be affected by how we use parts of our brain. She’ll also give examples of how some brilliant people can utilise both sides to positive effect.

The evening will give you some tools to take away and use with your team at work, to enable you to communicate more effectively and appreciate the differences between staff.

The evening will focus specifically upon our communication styles and leadership capability, linking these to our dominant thinking patterns.

The event will be highly interactive and will give you practical exercises to take away and use at work, whether you are in the HRM or HRD field.

Registration : 6 pm supper

We appreciate that things do sometimes come up which mean that you can’t attend an event that you’ve booked onto. However, most of our events include refreshments that we need to budget for in advance based on the number of people who have booked to attend.

Unfortunately, due to the number of people who book, but do not attend, we have had to introduce a charging policy. If you have booked onto an event and cancel with less than 48 hours notice, or book but don’t attend on the evening, we will levy a charge of £15 per event for events which are free to members, and the full charge for paid events. If you do have to cancel, with less than 48 hours notice, we will do our utmost to fill your place, but if we are unable to do so, then unfortunately the charge will apply.
You will be unable to attend any further branch events until the £15 charge has been paid.

By booking onto this event, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the cancellation policy.

We are sorry to have to introduce this policy, but unfortunately the level of cancellations and ‘no shows’ have meant it’s necessary to do so.
