Merseyside, North Cheshire and North Wales
The Coaching Special Interest Group covers the whole geographical region, yet focuses on two specific locations for events, namely Chester and North Wales. However, members from the entire region (and beyond!) are obviously able to attend, as are non-CIPD members. We always aim to give you all a warm welcome.

The main goal of this group is to provide a leading edge programme of events that are both relevant and interesting to anyone who is involved in a coaching or mentoring role. Furthermore, most of the events are also relevant to generalist Organisational Development and HR professionals as well.

Evenings usually begin with a light supper and informal networking, before we listen to the speaker. Our speakers are drawn from an exceptional talent pool and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to attract such talented speakers to the Coaching SIG. However, coaching is not just about learning and continuous improvement: it’s also about action. This is reflected in our evenings, as we always aim to include some ‘practical’ experience to put our learning into practice and to continue to ‘sharpen our tools’! However, if you’re new to coaching, don’t worry as you can be an observer and provide feedback to the ‘coach’ as s/he coaches.
