Mid Scotland Branch has 2 Special Interest Groups (SIG) Independent Consultants (ICSIG) and Organisational Development (ODSIG).
ICSIG was previously known as Sole Traders and in this form has been part of Mid Scotland Branch for many years. As the Branch covers a wide geographical area meetings are held in each Group area, Fife, Forth Valley and Tayside. In 2007 this SIG became known as Independent Consultants and is a way for members to meet and network. When the Chair of this group moved south there was a brief lull however it was felt there was value in providing opportunities for independents to meet and discuss issues. In 2009 two Independent Consultants agreed to 'adopt' this group and are currently planning the way forward.
ODSIG was formed in 2008 and enables networking, sharing of OD practice and informal CPD through peer support and collaboration.More and more HR professionals and organisations are showing an interest in the benefits of taking a broad, strategic OD perspective on organisation change issues so it seems appropriate that an ODSIG is set up to start dialogue. In 2010 the current organisers, who have succeeded in establishing an active group, decided to hand the running of this group over and are currently looking for volunteers.
