She then became Head of Research-TV where her career began to move towards digital media productions and online communications. During her time at Research-TV she collaborated with the team at jobs.ac.uk to develop new approaches (particularly through online video) for staff recruitment in the university sector.

Newcastle University Business School has kindly agreed to host the breakfast seminar.

Event details:

Social and digital media are fundamentally changing the way in which we communicate with and reach out to each other. We live in a world where organisations that aren't transparent and responsible are rapidly revealed and held to account online. We live in a world where we can't simply tell people that we're great, we have to show them.

Social and digital media have a key role to play in transforming the way in which we approach recruitment and employee engagement. In this energetic session we'll look at everything a HR professional needs to know about the opportunities and pitfalls:

Knowing what your employees (and others) say about you online;

Low-cost methods of transforming your recruitment materials for a web-savvy world;

Headhunting and attracting new talent to your organisation;

Use in internal communications and understanding the cultural 'readiness' of your organisation for this shift.
