Vanessa is part of a CIPD HQ team that is focussing on the major new research stream "Shaping the Future", looking at sustainable high performance within organisations. She will provide an update on this research and consider the future challenges for HR professionals within Business.
Vanessa has oversight responsibility for all of the research undertaken by CIPD and in addition has specific responsibility for research in key areas including effective organisational design, change management and innovation as well as the contribution of leadership to effective organisations.
She holds a first degree in psychology and a masters degree in human resource management and is a chartered member of the CIPD. Prior to joining the CIPD Vanessa has had a diverse career. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant she has spent much of her career in consulting roles, including Coopers & Lybrand, Cap Gemini and WPP.
