Small Business Group
The Small Business Group is dedicated to the specific needs of self-employed members in the Branch and those working in small businesses, or thinking of starting their own.
The Group provides opportunities for:
- sharing experience and knowledge
- mutual support and guidance
- learning events for specific areas of interest
- networking
- collaboration between group members
- building partnerships with local organisations such as Business Link and Chambers of Commerce
- continuous development of professional skills
- presenting relevant issues to CIPD through national representation
The Group also undertakes to provide advice and guidance and to run occasional learning events for those branch members who may be considering a career change to become self-employed.
