Welcome to the Surrey and North Hampshire Branch


I am delighted to welcome you to the Surrey and North Hampshire website.

This website continues to be a valuable source of Branch information; and I would ask you to make regular visits to see what is happening in our Branch. Our quarterly e-newsletter also provides information on forthcoming events and useful articles and information, the latest edition can be accessed here.

Our Branch works hard to provide an extensive programme of events throughout the year across seven groups. Find out more about our Groups.

Through this website you are able to access details of forthcoming events at group and branch level, read committee member profiles and make contact with them via e-mail.

We are keen to engage with all our members and welcome suggestions and comments on our programme. Additionally we are always looking for new Branch and Group committee members so if you would like to find out what is involved and contribute to the work of the Branch please do get in touch.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to the hardworking Branch and Group Committee members who have contributed their time so readily. It is through their commitment that we are able to provide such a full range of member services.

Mentoring Scheme

The Surrey and North Hampshire Branch is considering piloting a mentoring scheme to provide a source of professional support and advice to our members at different stages of their career.

The Branch already runs a very successful Career Connect group which provides a support for CIPD members who have to or want to change jobs or consider aspects of their current career, by running regular events and providing a valuable CV review service. Further details can be found on our Career Connect page.

As your views are important to us, we would like to find out if a mentoring scheme is a service you would like the Central Southern Branch to offer and would welcome your comments relating to this. Please submit any comments to me.

Branch Update Emails
We have changed the way we communicate with you. We will be sending out details of our upcoming events and meetings fortnightly to reduce the number of emails you receive from us.
Your Branch Updates is a fortnightly email containing the latest news and updates. This will act as an event reminder and will provide information on any last minute changes or cancellations.

Your Policy Update is a less frequent email providing the latest policy updates and gives you an opportunity to engage in consultations.

Anyone can subscribe to either or both email updates, from as many branches as they wish.

South West London Branch Careers Conference 31 March
Our neighbouring Branch, South West London, are holding their Careers Conference in Wimbledon on March 31st. Other Branch members are welcome.  For more details of the event please visit their website. All bookings must be made by March 16th.
