Independent Consultants’ Forum
Who are we?
The ICF is a group of self-employed consultants working in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Change Management and Learning & Development, based in the South-West London area. The ICF is a Special Interest Group linked to the South West London Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
What are the aims of the ICF?
• To provide the opportunity to network with other members,
• To support and facilitate the giving of advice to members,
• To help members grow their business,
• To provide CPD opportunities.
What happens in the meetings?
The meetings generally start at 6.30pm, with time for networking and catching up with other Forum members. The main topic starts at 7.15pm – this can be a workshop hosted by one or some of the Members, for example comparing how we market ourselves, or it may be a talk by a guest speaker – and runs for approximately an hour. The final part of the meeting deals with standing agenda items such as forthcoming meetings.
How often does the group meet, and where?
The group usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month at:
CIPD Headquarters, 151 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1JQ which is a few minutes walk from Wimbledon main line and underground stations. The meetings will be held in Conference room 4.1 on the fourth floor. Unfortunately there is no car parking on-site at the building. However there is plenty of parking in the "pay & display” car park in Hartfield Road car park. How can I find out about forthcoming meetings?
The meetings are listed in the monthly People Management magazine, on the main CIPD’s website (at www.cipd.co.uk and go to 'Events' then 'Branch Events', then select ‘South West London’) or in the CIPD South West London Branch newsletter. Members of the Forum also receive e-mail reminders about forthcoming meetings.
