On behalf of the Branch Committee, welcome to the CIPD South Yorkshire and District Branch Website.

 

The branch's 2000 members cover all levels of the management of people, from Human Resource Directors through to students just starting their careers in people management. Consequently the Branch can be seen to form the hub of a network of individuals dedicated to improving the economic capabilities of the region through the development of the potential of people at work.

It seeks to do this by supporting both the continuous professional development of its members, as well as it's member's efforts in establishing best practice in people management.

CONSULTANT NETWORK—Barry Senior and Chris Dalzell
We have taken over responsibility for the Branch Consultant Network following on from the very good work done by Michelle Lockwood Edwards over the last 2 years
We are hoping to continue developing the network further by aiming to extend the membership and build upon the firm foundations which have already been established.

We hope to expand the range of topics covered at our future meetings and to use both network members and external “experts” to cover those areas of general Human Resource Management and Management Consultancy and to introduce new events to encompass our student membership.

We shall try to respond to the wishes of the membership and will soon be circulating a detailed questionnaire to update us on what members see as the key activities which they would like to see the network involved in.

We shall continue to make our events learner centred and utilise interactive and participative approach and hope to develop some joint activities within the main Branch programme.

Chris and myself come from differing backgrounds and we hope to bring some added value to the network
