Thames Valley

Thames Valley

We are a very active branch and hold many events across our area. This home page shows only the next meeting, but as there is sometimes more than one in the same week it is worth checking out the list of other upcoming events.

Our Branch covers the whole of Oxfordshire and Berkshire as well as North Hampshire and with a membership around 4,300 is one of the largest branches in the country.

What does the Thames Valley Branch offer?

  • Membership upgrading support
  • An integrated programme of events throughout the year designed to meet the needs of our members - from students to senior practitioners - which provides continuing professional development
  • Specialist events and conferences focusing on specific groups of members and/or key HR and Development topics
  • Our highly regarded "Thames Valley People" newsletter, published 4 times a year, which provides news about events in the Thames Valley, information about the CIPD and articles on current HR thinking both locally and nationally
  • An Independent's Special Interest Group which responds to the needs of the increasing number of our members who are self employed or running small businesses as independent consultants and trainers

Our programme of events runs across our four geographical groups and the SIG:

Basingstoke
Bracknell
Oxford
Reading & Newbury

Independent's Special Interest Group

CIPD members can attend any meeting - not just those in their own geographical area - and non-CIPD members are also very welcome at any of our events.  Please use the "Book event" link on the event details page to register your interest in attending.
