Event details:
The next meeting of the Independent Consultants SIG will look at "Structuring and organising your business".
This topic came out of discussion at the last meeting where members were interested to hear how others had set themselves up. There were questions about "When does it make sense to have a limited company?", "How do you collaborate with other sole traders?" and "When is a partnership appropriate?". People were also interested to hear about how others organise their office administration which can hold businesses back from achieving their goals.
We are delighted to announce that Sylvia Doyle will lead the discussion at this interactive sessions. Sylvia has experience of working in her own limited company (Reward First) which she set up in 2004 and in 2011 she established a Limited Liability Partnership (RC Partners) together with three trusted reward colleagues. She can share the "how we got there" and her experience/decision making and what it's like to run a limited company alongside a partnership. Sylvia also now uses a Virtual Assistant to manage administration and can tell us how this works as well. Some of you will know Sylvia as a member of the group and a leading reward consultant.
Come along to the meeting to hear about how other people run their business and you may pick up some useful tips. Perhaps you have structured your work in an interesting way and can share your experiences with the rest of the group.
There will be a free buffet from 6.45pm and the session will start at about 7.30pm. We expect the session to end at approx. 9.00pm.
