Speaker(s):
Stephen Gates is the Managing Director of Denplan. Denplan is the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist with over 6,500 member dentists, around 1,900 company plans and approximately 1.8 million patients and employs over 300 people. Stephen Gates joined Denplan in 1995 and in 2001 became the Managing Director. Steve is responsible for the overall strategic direction and growth of all its activities, in association with the Denplan Board and other Executive Leadership team members. He works particularly closely in areas of new product and business development while maintaining hands on links with the dental profession. His style is to lead by example, provide a sense of drive and energy and keep things simple so everyone knows what the company is doing and where they fit in. Denplan has been in the Top 25 Companies to work for in the UK for the last eight consecutive years.
Event details:
This event will have a focus on what a business leader wants from HR in today’s very tough times. Companies are now being asked to provide more for less, giving the same level of service but with less resource. The workshop will highlight some of the ways in which HR professionals can add value to an organisation and support senior management in their roles. Steve will provide an overview of how an HR team can provide support effectively and efficiently particularly in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, wellbeing and support programmes. The workshop will include a formal presentation and the opportunity for questions throughout.
Intended Learning Outcomes:
• MDs' requirements in order to survive tough times
