How do I book for the Conference?
We are pleased to offer easy booking options. You can:
- download and complete the conference booking form on this website
- request a brochure and complete the booking form included.
Then send your booking form to the Conference Registrar by fax on +44 (0)20 8612 6231, or post your booking form to Conference Registrar, 151 The Broadway, Wimbledon SW19 1JQ.
How many days can I attend?
The Annual Conference and Exhibition runs for three days but you can book for one, two or three days, depending on how many seminars you would like to attend. A three-day ticket enables you to attend a maximum of six seminars, plus the three keynote speaker addresses.
How can I find out which seminars are full?
We use a 'traffic light' system on this website to give you a guide to seminar availability. The 'traffic lights' are included after each seminar description. Please note that we cannot guarantee places:
- Totally full = red
- Limited places left = amber
- Ample places = green

Can I change the seminars I'm booked on to?
Yes, providing there is availability on the seminars you want to transfer to. If you want to change your seminar choices you can let us know either by fax on +44 (0)20 8612 6231 or email training.hotline@cipd.co.uk. If emailing, please remember to include your full booking details (name, job title, organisation, invoice number etc). Please note students are unable to change seminars once they have been confirmed.
Can someone else come to the Conference instead of me?
If you want to send a colleague in your place, please let us know either by fax on +44 (0)20 8612 6231 or email training.hotline@cipd.co.uk. If emailing, please remember to include your full booking details (name, job title, organisation, invoice number etc).
Can I send in my booking form without my seminar choices?
We need your choice of seminars before we can accept your booking. This is to ensure that your place is secured, since many seminars become fully booked early. You can change seminars at a later date if necessary, providing there is still availability on the seminar you want to change to. Please note students are unable to change seminars once they have been confirmed.
What are the booking terms and conditions?
The terms and conditions are as follows:
- Payment for the conference must be received before the start of the event.
- Cancellations must be received in writing and will be acknowledged in writing.
- Cancellations received 40–20 days before the start of the event will incur a 25% cancellation charge.
- Cancellations received 19–0 days before the start of the event will incur a 100% cancellation charge.
- Alterations to seminar choices must be received in writing and will incur a £40 charge + VAT.
- No alterations to seminar choices may be made 15–0 days before the start of the event.
- All bookings from international delegates must be accompanied by payment. We will not be able to guarantee you a place unless payment has been made.
When will I receive booking confirmation?
An invoice and confirmation of your booking will be sent to you within ten days of our receiving your booking form. If you do not receive an invoice in this time or have any queries, please call us on +44 (0)20 8612 6248.
When will I receive joining instructions?
You should receive joining instructions about two weeks before the start of the Conference.
Can I still book for the conference?
Yes, but it depends on seminar availability - many seminars are fully booked several weeks before the conference and we would advise you to make your booking as early as possible. If you would like to check on seminar availability, either refer to the 'traffic lights' against each seminar on this website (red indicates that the seminar is fully booked, amber that limited places are available, and green that there is full availability). Can I book on the day?
Yes, you are able to book on the day. However, a large number of seminars are fully booked and so to avoid disappointment, we would strongly recommend that you book in advance. We would also advise you to check seminar availability by calling our conference hotline on +44 (0)20 8612 6248. Please note that if you want to register on the day, you must bring payment with you - either credit card or cheque.
