Travel by rail
The majority of trains to Harrogate involve changing at either Leeds or York.
Approximate journey times are:
- London Kings Cross to Harrogate via Leeds 3 hours 30 minutes
- London Kings Cross to Harrogate via York 2 hours 45 minutes
The transfer from either Leeds or York takes 30 mins.

Car parking
If you are staying locally, most hotels have some parking available for guests.
Harrogate International Centre's car park charges:
- up to 3 hours £3.50
- up to 6 hours £5.50
- up to 12 hours £7.50
- up to 24 hours £10.00
There are various car parks around the town and some on-street parking outside the town centre.

Free 'Park and Ride' service
The CIPD also provides a free 'park and ride' service from Ripley car park to Harrogate International Centre on all three days of the conference and exhibition.
If you are planning to drive to Harrogate, this service will help you avoid the traffic problems in town and save you looking for a parking space.
From the A1(M) take the A59 to Knaresborough. Then take the B6165 to Ripley. The 'Park and Ride' will be fully signposted.
The journey in from Ripley to the HIC normally takes around 10 minutes but does depend on traffic conditions.
The shuttle service will run at the following times:
