CIPD's autumn 2013 tour...Don't get court in the act!
Over the past year we’ve been inundated with proposed changes to key aspects of employment law. These reforms don’t merely tinker with the current law, in most cases theyradically change the way we manage fundamental problems, such as, misconduct, poor performance, and intermittent absence.
We’re also facing a completely different regime for making and dealing with claims - fees forlodging claims, early conciliation, penalties for breaching rights, and new employment tribunal rules of procedure. There have also been important changes to the way collective redundancies must be managed and we’re also soon to see the promised serious reform toTUPE law.
To date, the news of these changes has been filtered piecemeal to employers, with fragmented implementation dates. This has caused confusion for some employers overwhether particular changes have come into force already, or when they are due. However, these reforms are at long last coming together under one central theme: helping organisations react more quickly to changing business needs.
Running throughout the UK in October, the CIPD Autumn 2013 Law on Tour workshops will approach these complex topics and concepts in a straightforward way, leaving you not only well informed, but clear about how to deal with matters back in the workplace. The tour will also provide you with a full update of the other important developments in employmentlaw, both recent and forthcoming.
Our Law on Tour workshops can also be provided in-house, which is a cost-effective approach if you have a number of people who require training. You choose where and when you want our trainers to deliver. We will also tailor the course content to suit your precise organisation needs. To speak to an advisor about your particular requirements call our In-house team on +44 (0)20 8612 6202.
