Ms Jan White

Jan is a learning and development consultant , trainer and facilitator, specialising in communication skills programmes (face to face or the written word), Train the Trainer and Training Administration. She also runs a variety of programmes for support staff, enabling them to gain more control of their working days. Jan’s passion is enabling people to learn and develop. She strives to create a relaxed learning environment where participants feel comfortable with the trainer, and each other. She avoids a ‘telling’ approach, preferring participants to think for themselves, talk it through, try it out – see if it works in practice. Jan began her career as an English and Drama teacher before moving into City and Guilds of London – running workshops for examiners. She took her experience into a global plc – Wimpey Construction – initially as a Management Skills Trainer, before becoming their National Training Consultant. This involved coordinating training needs and designing and delivering the necessary training programmes. Having gained valuable and extensive experience with a world-wide training provider for six years, Jan began work as an independent Learning and Development Consultant.
