Well said, Sarah. The laying aside of ego as leaders, managers, employees and team members, and in so doing some of the qualities of fear and defense that are embedded in organisations, will do wonders for employee engagement - and, even beyond this, for the brand of the company in its marketplace, its relationships with its suppliers, its customers and its shareholders. With organisations being a web of relationships, the less we can come from a position of defense and survival, and the more we can connect authentically with all its stakeholders, including of course employees, the better for the company, its engagement and its profits. Leaders have a key role to play in setting the trend.
