In your career
The CIPD Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP) is the equivalent level to QCF Level 3. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Level Certificate in HR Practice.
With many HR job ads now stating that it is essential or highly desirable to have a CIPD qualification, achieving the CHRP will help you to enhance your career opportunities and career potential.
By studying and successfully achieving the CHRP, you are demonstrating that you are committed to achieving a high standard of professionalism in your career, and you have the skills and drive to maximise your contribution to the HR function and overall business performance.
CIPD membership
The CIPD Certificate in HR Practice is designed to reflect the CIPD HR Profession Map and professional membership criteria.
While you are studying the CHRP you will be a studying member of CIPD and benefit from access to a range of resources including:

Upon completing the CHRP you will have gained the knowledge you need to work toward applying for a professional grade of CIPD membership. If you then have the relevant work experience, and successfully complete your membership assessment, you will be upgraded to Associate Member (Assoc CIPD).
The Associate level is a professional grade of CIPD membership that signals to employers, across all sectors, nationally and internationally that you're able to apply your knowledge in a business context. It gives you the use of new designatory letters after your name, Assoc CIPD.
