Assessment methods will differ from unit to unit.
Exams
There will be nationally assessed exams for two of the four core units, Leading, managing and developing people and HRM in context.
Management research report
The core unit Investigating a business issue from an HR perspective comprises a management research report.
Other assessment methods
In addition, the following assessment methods will be used throughout the other units of the programme:
- written assessments
- case studies
- professional discussion
- work place evidence
- projects
- online tests
- presentations
- personal development plan
- peer review.
Optional unit assessment
Assessments will differ for each of the optional units and might range from traditional written asignments, to more practical skills demonstrations, or delivered presentations. None of the optional units is assessed by CIPD examination.
