This new report from the European Commission looks at the involvement of workers and employers (the social partners) in negotiation and consultation and how it has helped companies and workers adapt themselves to change, minimising job losses.

European Central Bank

European Commission
Provides information on the rights of workers moving within the EU and information on the restrictions on workers from the countries that joined the EU more recently. Has an overview of the rights of nationals from countries outside the EU about working in EU countries. Gives information on conditions applying if you are temporarily sent to work in another EU Member State as a posted worker.

Provides information about setting up a business, tax, managing staff, dealing with mergers and transferring ownership of a business for each EU country.
European Court of Human Rights
Provides free access to the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, the European Commission of Human Rights and the Committee of Ministers. The judgments, decisions, resolutions and reports of these bodies are held in the HUDOC database.
European Industrial Relations Observatory (EIRO)
Provides news and feature articles, comparative studies, annual updates on working time, thematic and sectoral analyses and EIRObserver bulletin.

A huge website, so the A-Z index is a useful way to navigate. The Employment and Social Affairs section gives access to summaries of EU legislation, policy and full text case law and legislation.
Federation of European Employers
Has some free information on HR issues including pay in Europe. The European HR knowledge base (members only) provides information on HR practice and employment law across Europe.
