CIPD Ireland Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme
CIPD Ireland have negotiated a new Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme to cater for the requirements of our members in Ireland.
This Scheme has been arranged on our behalf by Frank Glennon Limited with Hiscox Insurance Company Limited.
The Scheme policy has been designed to protect the unique relationship which HR Professional Consultants have with their clients and includes cover for*:
- Negligence or breach of a duty of care.
- Negligence misstatement or negligent misrepresentation.
- Infringement of Intellectual Property rights including copyright, patent, trademark or moral rights or any act of passing-off.
- Breach of confidence or misuse of any information, which is either confidential or subject to statutory restrictions on its use.
- Defamation.
- Dishonesty of your individual partners, directors, employees or self employed freelancers directly contracted to you and under your supervision.
- Broad civil liability cover.
The scheme offers cover for varying limits of indemnity up to €2,000,000 for any one claim and is subject to a standard policy deductible of €1,300 each claim.
This broad cover is provided at very competitive rates. For example a HR Consultant earning fee income of up to €100,000 will pay an annual premium of €357 for a limit of €1,000,000 on any one claim.
