This discussion paper supports the CIPD research project on the value of learning.
Initial feedback has identified the need to demonstrate the value of learning. This discussion paper considers key aspects of the ‘value problem’:
- the concept of value
- traditional evaluation practice
- perceptions of value
- measures of value, metrics and scorecards.
At various points in this short paper, there is the opportunity for you contribute to this research by giving your ideas, feedback and opinion about the value of learning
