What could I expect to earn?

The rewards for working in HR are great. With the right skills and motivation, you can expect swift progression early on.

Average HR salaries can start at £24,375 for a graduate level HR officer, to £100,000 for a HR Director and £200,000 or more for a group HR director. While some FTSE20 Group HR directors can earn £500,000+.

The Croner Personnel Rewards 2009-10 Survey, published in conjunction with CIPD, compares salary and reward for HR professionals based on their job level, size of organisation, sector (private or public) and location.

Plus, research conducted by the CCPMO* also reveals that individuals with both CIPD qualifications and professional membership stand to earn an additional £152,000 in earnings over their lifetime, compared to those without CIPD qualifications and membership.
