Managing an age-diverse workforce: what employers need to know

"Employee life stages are becoming ever more distinct and employers need to tap into these stages if they are to get the best out of their people
and deliver to their customers in ways that make business sense." This research report is in three parts and provides two different perspectives. Part 1 synthesises qualitative data to describe what people feel and experience when working with age-diverse colleagues and gives employers important new and unique insights that will help them to nurture more productive workforces and avoid conflict. Part 2 provides a summary of interviews drawn from organisation case studies organisations: Enterprise, HMRC, McDonald’s and Santander, conducted during spring and summer 2014 while Part 3 draws conclusions and sets out recommendations.
