This quarterly report provides an update on key HR, economic and labour market statistics. The report shows that nearterm employment prospects have fallen modestly but still lie well above the survey’s historic average. This quarter’s net employment balance – which measures the difference between the proportion of employers that expect to increase staff levels and those that expect to decrease staff levels in the first quarter of 2015 – has decreased to +24 from +30 since the autumn 2014 report

However, a growing labour supply means that pay rises are likely to remain subdued.
